CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST


POSITION SUMMARY:

Wage - $9.50 per hour to start – paid through a staffing solutions company

Full Time - 40 hours per week

Schedule - Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM (with 2 -15 minute breaks, 1 - hour lunch)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Abilities and Skills: Must possess problem solving skills with the ability to think logically and to apply good troubleshooting techniques. Must have the ability to be creative in the approach to problem solving. Must have good communications skills, both written and oral. Must be able to coordinate efforts with co-workers and other departments and organizations, so as to maximize the efforts of all concerned. Must possess the ability and the desire to engage in the process of continual learning. Must also posses the ability and the desire to teach and to share knowledge and experience with others.  At times, job requires the ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.


After an offer of employment has been made, a physical is required which will include both drug and alcohol testing. Employees are then subject to periodic, random drug and alcohol tests.

Information Systems Analyist/Intergration

POSITION SUMMARY:

The information systems analyst/integration is responsible for making the information systems and technologies within the organization coordinate in such a way as to allow the organization to realize the intended benefit of those systems. By its very nature, the position is all about creative solutions to the difficult problem of integrating various applications and processes into a cohesive whole that truly is greater than the sum of its parts.

The INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST/INTEGRATION shall be required to perform any other duties assigned in order to fulfill the objectives of the Cooperative.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST/INTEGRATION

Job Knowledge, Training and Experience:  Must possess a thorough understanding of the principles of database management. Must have a thorough understanding of mapping systems, coordinate systems, and must be familiar with the state of the art in mapping and geographical information systems. Must possess a complete understanding of computer programming practices. Must have at least four years experience with, and proficiency in, an industry standard computer programming language like C++, or C#. May not substitute Visual Basic programming experience. Must be proficient in the use of Structured Query Language. Must have a working knowledge of both AutoCAD and Autolisp. Must be proficient in the use of electrical engineering analysis software package (ex. Milsoft’s Windmil).

Four years experience in project management required. At least three years experience in managing an Automatic Meter Reading system. This experience must include all aspects of project management, from pre-planning, to meter hardware, to substation equipment installation and management, to software operation and integration with CIS billing system. This integration experience must also include day-to-day management of the AMR system including, but not limited to the updating and synchronization of the system with billing and with GIS and mapping as it relates to the system model used for outage analysis. Must be proficient in the integration and programming of disparate relational database management systems to accomplish adequate modeling of metering in the field.

Must have at least four years experience working with communications systems and computer networking systems. Communications systems to include radio, satellite, fiber, telephone, and DSL. Computer networking systems to include both wired and wireless systems.

 Must possess Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Arts degree.

Equipment Operated: Communications Equipment – Radio and Satellite; AMR Equipment; Substation Equipment; Test Equipment.

Abilities and Skills: Must possess strong problem solving skills. Must have the ability to think logically and to apply good troubleshooting techniques. Must have the ability to be creative in the approach to problem solving. Must possess the ability to translate real-world systems into the context of a relational database model so that the power of the computer can be applied to management of critical processes. Must have good communications skills, both written and oral. Must be self-starter, capable of working independently. Must be able to coordinate efforts with other departments and organizations so as to maximize the efforts of all concerned. Must possess the ability and the desire to engage in the process of continual learning as information systems technologies move ever forward. Must also posses the ability and the desire to teach and to share knowledge and experience with others.

Physical Effort:  At times, job requires ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be willing to travel for training several weeks each year.
